Space Weather Daily Update for 20 March, 2018

in #science7 years ago

Magnetic Universe, Big Hail, Coronal Hole

The last 24 hours of the Earth Facing disc shows no sunspots, no solar flares and no coronal mass ejections(CME). Which is good, because it is the Spring Equinox which is one of the points during the year that the Earth is most vulnerable to space weather. The solar wind is dropping, so things are calm. The Planetary K-index is in low green levels.

Earthquakes and volcanoes of note

Space Objects

No new items added to the Near-Earth Object(NEO) database.
