Lightining Produces Gamma Rays in the Sky and it can Start Nuclear Reaction

Thunder Storm was supposed to be the cause of nuclear reactions (fusion reaction) in the sky but it has been confirmed that lightning can also start nuclear reaction.

lightning produces gamma rays there are three types of radioactive rays alpha, beta and gamma rays gamma rays are the most powerful and they have speed equal to visible light. They react with air and initiate the nuclear reaction. This is the simple explanation of what is happening during lightning.

Scientist can explain what is happening but how it is happening is still mystery because the conditions required for gamma rays to produce the by products of nuclear reaction are not fulfilled like the temperature needed to initiate the reaction is much less than required.

The research took place in Kashiwazaki , Japan where they confirmed the phenomena. In simple words lightning is so powerful that it can emit neutron from Nitrogen. Neutron emission is the important part in Nuclear reactions. This neutron is then absorbed and finally positron is produced by unstable Nitrogen atom
