Brain Typing
Have you ever thinking about writing but you don't have to write, type, or use sound.
We can write something by just thinking about it. The technology is called Mind Typing or Brain Typing. You can write something with a lot of words without having to spend so much energy. Suppose you are a student or college semester end must type a thousand words and takes a very long time if you are not used to typing with the keyboard. Imagine if the technology really exists. The benefits must be very much, in this phenomenon maybe the technology still sounds impossible to be realized.
The idea of brain typing technology or mind typing is actually long been raised. That is in the mid-1990s. However, at this time we still have not seen the truth in the real world. A well-known Facebook company is also currently trying to develop brain typing technology early in 2017. The project evolved from an idea six months ago to become a team focus of more than 60 scientists, engineers and system integrators, according to Dugan, who leads Building 8 team dedicated to delivering innovative hardware for social networking. Mission connects the world.
"We're just getting started, we have a goal to create a system capable of typing 100 words per minute right from your brain." said Dugan.
"We're not talking about decoding your random mind: It's more than we want to know," Dugan argued.
"We're talking about the thoughts you want to share.Your words have decided to send to the brain talk center."
Such technology can let people turn off text messages or emails by thinking, instead of having to interrupt what they do to use the smartphone's touch screen, for example.
It also potentially captures the concepts and semantics associated with words that people think, making language differences irrelevant by allowing share of what's in mind, says Dugan.
"Unlike other approaches, we will focus on developing non-invasive systems that could one day become a drug for people with communication disorders or new means of input to AR," Dugan said in a posting on his Facebook page, refers to the improvement of reality.
The Building 8 group also works on sensors that allow people to "hear" through their skin, by what they feel is converted into words in variations in how the ear changes the vibration into a comprehensible sound.
"Our brains have the ability to build the language of components," says Dugan.
"I suggest that one day, not so far, it's possible for me to think in Mandarin and for you to feel it right in Spanish."Such technology is still many years away, according to Dugan.
Working in Building 8 "someday allows us to choose to share thoughts, just like we do with photos and videos," Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a post on his page on the social network.
"Finally, we want to turn it into usable technology that can be produced on a large scale."
Facebook started the Building group 8 years ago, and put it into the hands of Dugan, who previously led the group of advanced technology projects on Google. Prior to joining Google, Dugan managed the Department of Defense Research Department, which aimed to develop technology for the US military.
