Centrifugal Spinner!

in #science6 years ago

Hey everyone, this is what a centrifugal honey extractor looks like. After harvesting a massive 35 kgs from our Mega Swarm we naturally had to remove honey from combs and this is how we achieved that!

From the spinner it goes through two sieves a larger and then smaller grid, into a settling tank and then bottled.

Raw, un-filtered whole food honey does not get better than this.

Be sure to stay tuned for more of me epic bee-keeping adventures!

Mmmmm! Raw honey is expensive here, but it is so good! And good for you! I'm going to have to see if we can get in touch with some beekeepers / bee-rescuers here. Which of your honey-types do you like the best?

Hey @helenoftroy thanks for the comment well I love bluegum honey. (eucalyptus) our current harvest seems very citrusie very nice indeed it changes in taste all the time depending on many factors seasons plants honey age etc. Stunning to be involved with this ;) Cheer$;)
