Astronomers just discovered a supermassive black hole from the dawn of the universe And it's much bigger than we expected.

Researchers, including Eduardo Bañados, reported the existence of the black hole and it’s accompanying bright quasar in a paper in Nature this week. Not rocks, not gas, not even light. Near large black holes, surrounding material swirls around to form something called an accretion disk. Material in the disk spins at thousands of miles per second, heating up as it moves and slams into other bits of dusts and gas, all riding the same frantic carousel toward doom.
