Some believe that prime numbers are not worth a thorough study, but they are fundamental to mathematics. Each number can be represented in a unique way in the form of prime numbers multiplied by each other. This means that prime numbers are "atoms of multiplication", small particles, from which something big can be built.
It was a commonly held belief back in the days, today a lot of person are free from such mentality.
