Elon Musk wants to link the brain with computers - started a new startup, Neuralink.

After electronic payment, car and rocket, known entrepreneur continues with chips that will be possible to insert into the human brain.

Yesterday was leaked to the public information on the new initiative Ilona mask. It was announced that this serial entrepreneur founded the company that will help people to improve the performance of the brain using technology.

The long term goal of the company will be production of "neural thread" which is actually a series of electrodes that connect the human brain, and today it is used to improve epilepsy, Parkinson's and similar diseases. This product will enable people to achieve greater cognitive abilities and time escort rapid development of artificial intelligence. The consequence of that would improve memory and enabling communication with computers without physical intervention.

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, Neuralink is registered as a company for Medical Research in California in July last year, and it will certainly be the beginning of the most time and deal before manages to reach the level that we now regard as science fiction.

Today, however, few people in the world has anything like this in your brain and interventions of this type are usually kept as a last resort for patients. Also, research in this area is still going very slowly because the methods of collecting data about neurons is still at the basic level.

Mask has previously expressed concern regarding the progress of artificial intelligence, and in December 2015 launched a non-profit organization oppenau, which will explore the (general) artificial intelligence and make sure things do not get out of control.

After a short start-up rumors the past few months, Elon continues to commercialize areas that look like they have not been fruitful for the business. After the conquest of space, followed by conquering the human brain - conquest which imposes many issues such as privacy and control and for which it is worth to think twice over time what awaits us in the not too distant future.
