Plastic eating fungus found in Pakistan.
Incredible news for all those of us concerned about the mounting plastics and damage we do to our environment. Plastic eating fungus has been discovered at a rubbish dump in Pakistan.
I must admit, I'm not entirely surprised, as nature usually finds a way to return itself to balance, but considering how recently plastics were discovered, evolution seems to have worked extra quickly on this one.
I imagine it takes a good while for it to digest the plastic though. Better break out the antacid!
