The classic human response to something we don't understand. "If any reader manages to get a little piece of one, they should put in in a plastuc bag and freeze it." Basically, kill it and cut a piece off for testing. Poor floaty blog things :(
No need to kill it... biopsy! Just cut a little piece off! That's what we mostly do for animals that are new. Eventually we'll get around to doing a full autopsy though.
