bee anatomy
The body of a honeybee is divided into head, chest and abdomen. Bees have sensory organs on their heads that allow them to know what is going on around them. Through the large compound eyes, they can orient themselves in their flights and distinguish the colors of the flowers. In the antennas they have the senses of hearing, smell and touch, indispensable when they are in the darkness of the hive. By smell they can recognize their companions and detect their enemies.
