There are more than half the snapshot user information leaked online, including their username and password for their Snapchat account.

After receiving a news about the threat of privacy at the end of July 017, 017, the engineering director of the snap mailed to the company's employees. A director of the Dorset UK in the United Kingdom, the director of a photo sharing application, in a mail, a cyber attack on users of the photo sharing app. On that mail, he said that information on 55,851 snapchat accounts, including username and password, was found on a phishing website named KLVViral.org.

It is believed that this cyber attack was involved in the cyber attack from Dominican Republic. Not all account information is leaked, and most of the accounts have been reset after the owner of Snapchat informed about Snap initial attack. But for some time even thousands of snapshots account information was on a public website.

In this attack, a phishing or fraudulent link was sent to other users from one account which was already attacked. When someone click on this link comes to a website that looks like a snapchat login screen. To prevent such phishing links, many people including Facebook scan the links to see if they show something like their login screen.
