If I understand you correctly, you want to splice the gene in a certain way to get the desired result - protein. The fastest way to get there is not to acquire startup (bacterium) but already well-oiled factory (Drosophila), oocyte in your case and you need to look where their brains are.
If you have the money you can but the factory (Splice). Then kindly ask your engineers (mRNA) to make a blueprint for desired part (protein).
However, if you were not careful enough you might have bought only a paper factory (alternative splicing) with no real results because those on top put everything in their pockets (mutation of DNA). Workers (ribosome) bust their asses and try to repair the damage adding extra hours. Sometimes they can't (cancer).
So you're basically working with a bunch of lawyers (exon) and that's why you need to explain us further what exactly do you do.
