Greeting, hi all steemit friend how are you to day, hopefully in good health always, today I will try to discuss about rice seed varieties Situ Pategang, may be useful.

Rice is the main food crops producing staple food in Indonesia and continuously developed for the creation of maximum production. The people of Indonesia have made rice as a staple crop so that the increasing demand for rice in Indonesia compared to other commodities as alternative food such as corn, cassava, sago, and potatoes. The local government once participated in campaigning "a day without rice" but did not think about the availability of alternative substitute for rice, so the impression is only the wind then.
Given Indonesia's geographical conditions, some rice varieties can not develop perfectly due to lack of rainfall during the dry season. This causes rice farmers can lead to crop failure. So the big impact on the government causes the failure of food sufficiency.
To answer the problems that often occur in Indonesia. Thus, the Ministry of Agriculture through the Agency for Agricultural Research and Development recommends several superior varieties that are able to survive in the climate conditions of Indonesia (dry) one of the varieties Situ Pategang.

Situ Pategang is a varieties of upland rice (amphibi) which means it can be planted in two places, rice fields and dry fields. Rice Situ Pategang upright plant type with an altitude between 100 - 110 cm. This variety has the shape of kinda seeds, the color of dirty yellow grain, grain weight of 27 g / 1000 grains, the number of productive tillers reach 10 - 11 stems / clump, the average production usually get 4.0 ton / ha.
The superiority of this variety is blast resistant, medium texture and aromatic (hmm yummi) , responsive to fertilization. Can be developed on dry land in the rainy season, alluvial soil type and podsolic land. This variety is potentially commercially developed by the seed industry, local government and the directorate general of technical on dry land in the rainy season with altitude of less than 300 m asl.
