It is quite amazing how many caterpillars have what look like thorns on their backs. A few years ago I took my grand-niece out to play and she wanted to swing from a branch. As I picked her up I noticed something orange on the branch. It was an enire 'herd' of these orange, black and whatever caterpillars, with sharp spikes on head and on the body. My little niece freaked out when I showed her where she'd nearly put her hands, then she asked if she can have one. That just shows why I love how kids think.
