HOW VIRUSES CAUSE DISEASE

-Virus do not divide and do not produce any kind of specialized reproductive structures such as spores. Instead they multiply by inducing host cell.
-Virus cause disease not by consuming cells or by killing them but by utilising cellular substance during multiplication taking space in cells and disrupting cellular process.
-These in turn upset the cellular metabolism and lead to development of abnormal substances and conditions injurious to the function & the life of the cell/organism
