Wait till you see some of the cut gems I have over the coming weeks. But, you're right pretty amazing. I like the specimens though because their natural shape is so much more beautiful than a cut stone. A specimen doesn't refract light like a cut stone, but it's the natural appearance that makes it special to me.

Yup, I do agree to a certain degree... I find the natural appearance special, especially when a particular cut angle shows off its inner beauty... and it sits within its natural surroundings that has encased it for however many years it's taken to form it... Ahaaaa, but after it's been cut, wow - that's when it really shines (pun intended!) 😊 Guess that's a typical female's point of view... hehehe!
