Day 4 - 25/2

25/2/2022

Ian and I woke at 4am and got the last of our things packed and prepped and we started our walk down to the beach. Matthew (seeds) who we met the previous day has a boat that he commutes people and baggage across the lake to the beach. Matthew commuted us and our Backpacks across the Estuary and river mouth to the South Beach of Kosi Bay. Another wonderful entrepreneur. We walked 22.kms along the beach till we arrived at Bhanga Nek Camp. on our arrival we were met by a few fisherman and campers. They all think we crazy. It's very rustic here. You can choose from camping with your own tents and camping equipment or they already have tents set up with 2 single beds. You can't drink the water, unless it boiled. Very salty and smells a bit sulphuric. Be sure to bring lots of Water. If you are really desperate, you can walk down to the beach to the Ezemvelo's parks office to ask if you could tap out some rain water from their tanks. We were blessed by one of the fisherman - Mani & Candice from Perfect Water and his wife with a whole sixpack of water to assist us on our Journey. We left him a Soothing Rub as thanks for their kindness. Ian and I had a warm shower and had some dinner and quickly fell asleep. The weather has been extremely hot since we arrived over 30°c.
