Especially in this last period the Blockchain system is criticized for its negative impact on the Earth, it is enough to think about the power used to extract the cryptocurrencies and to manage their transaction with a powerful next-generation computer, for example: a single bitcoin transaction consumes the same of 9 American homes throughout the day.

But the numerous positive projects based on Blockchain with the aim of doing business protecting the environment, show how much potential this revolutionary system can still give to humanity.
It is only the beginning, the continuous development of new innovative systems linked to the Blockchain will be able to compensate for the deficiencies of obsolete technology by finding new solutions to generate a positive environmental impact.

Let's see how this app should work.

The concept is simpler than we can imagine.
Every time we buy something, the App will send us a carbon offset notification which will have brought the environmental impact of our article to ZERO.
How can the impact be reduced?
Through the support of projects that aim at REFORESTATION.
Poseidon's goal is to trace the entire carbon ecosystem incorporating the carbon impact of a product directly into its sale.

The project will be carried out by connecting customers and sellers through the platform based on Stellar Lumens Blockchain System, through Poseidon in partnership with ECOSPHERE - a company specializing in Co2 credits from forest projects in Latin America - you can convert ONE carbon credit which corresponds to ONE ton of Co2, in a token (virtual currency) called OCEAN which allows the activation of micro transactions for the purchase and sale of grams of Co2.
So the pollution derived from the consumption of the products we use to buy and consume, it will be offset through the investment in Co2 credits.

Poseidon has already started FUNDRAISING, funds that will be used almost exclusively to invest in Rainforest Conservation, to derive carbon credits as it is well explained on the company's white paper.

The Poseidon fundraising includes three campaigns:

in 2018 has raised 2.1 million euros, in 2019 campaigns are planned from mid-February to March which will offer investors a 20% discount on the launch price of the OCEAN token and finally in June where there will be a 5% discount on the token price.

In short, the technology will be more and more in function of the environment and through Poiseidon we - users and consumers-
