8 seconds to get readers' attention! 😱😓 Where do we start?

Did you know that our attention is decreasing?
Our attention threshold in 2010 was 12 seconds, in 2013 it dropped to 8 seconds, I dare not imagine today in 2019, in short, we can stay interested in a topic for 8 seconds.
It's better for the poor little goldfish that remains stable with its 9 seconds.

Of course, Social Media and Internet play a key role in losing attention, since their advent they have radically changed our way of accessing information, subjecting us to a constant flow of information 24 hours a day.

It is enough to take our cell phone connecting with the rest of the world.
According to research we do it 110 times a day then subtracting about 8 hours of sleep, we look at our cell phone 6.8 times an hour, that is about every 9 minutes.
You will be thinking that this is not happening to you!
But do you know how many times a day you take a peek at your phone?
Then take a look at the DIGITAL REPORT 2019 data from Hootsuite and WeareSocial here.
The world average of internet connection is 6 hours and 42 minutes a day ie we are talking about 100 days a year.
This average varies from country to country ranging from 3 hours and 45 minutes for the Japanese to 10 hours and 2 minutes for the Filipinos.

With this post I don't want to reflect on whether or not we are dependent on technology and internet but on the fact that since we all like to write and devote time to our content, we must begin to take this latest data into account because we risk not having readers for our posts.
Only 8 seconds it is just the time to read the title.
So what's the solution?
Maybe concentrate all the post's content inside the title! 😃
Surely a good title makes us start well, but we must also take into account some facts:
according to the MEDIUM blogging platform, posts with a reading time of 3 minutes have more views than posts that last longer; also from TWITTER data it is quite evident that tweets with images generate a RT rate on average 150% higher compared to text-only ones.

Since my post does not exceed 3 minutes I add 2 lines about the attention. 😊
Do you know our level of attention is a finished cognitive process?
This means it decreases over time and in relation to infinite number of inputs to which we are subjected during the day.
So we must distribute our attention favoring some things than others because we cannot pay attention to the entire flow of information we receive.
So what to do to attract readers?
The key to attracting the attention of readers lies in the quality of the content but also in the care of the format and the 3-minute rule for not boring our readers.
