I think the public school system is even worse when you get kicked out. I had to go through the "alternative" public school system and it was a damn joke. I was surrounded by people my age who mostly had no real goals in life. Probably one of the lowest parts of my life was attending that teenage jail. It was ridiculous, and I got there over marijuana... Yet I was surrounded by gang members. It definitely didn't help me.
