hallo liebe freunde
auch hier wird es kälter und kälter und die katzen drängen sich unter dem warmen ofen, sie miauen härzerwärmend, während ich vor dem abendbrot noch etwas zeit hab euch in ein paar zeilen von der letzten woche zu berichten. ganz ohne unterbrechung nach dem letzten post zu lesen.
wir hatten nach dem frühstück erstmal nach den werkzeugen, also den äxten zu suchen, die mario dann nochmal angeschärft hatte, bevor wir sie alle gemeinsam mit dem wagen in den wald trugen, um dort mit dem zerkleinern der großen bäume zu beginnen. mario hat etwas weiter den hügel hinauf ein stück land und möchte dort aus ganzen stämmen mit traditionellen baumethoden ein neues haus bauen. die arbeit ist spaßig und mit den jungs und der musik relativ entspannt.
mario war am vormittag mit christina in der stadt und hat zwei säcke mit muscheln mitgebracht, die wir dann auf dem ofen im garten fertig kochten. im anschluss an das reispfanne/muschel mittag, gab es eine ausgedehnte siesta, bevor wir am nachmittag im wald zehn, vier meter stücken holz auf den wagen schnallten und nach einigen gängen alle vor marios haus aufstapelten.
am abend hab ich brot gemacht und eine menge gelesen. außerdem hatte mich mario gefragt ob ich lust hab mir ein wege konzept für das neue knoblauchfeld auszudenken, was ich dann auch noch erledigte. ich bin dann auf dem sofa eingeschlafen und hatte eine gemütliche warme nacht.
nach dem frühstück am mittwoch zogen wir in den wald und hackten was das zeug hielt um möglichst viele stämme im sonnenschein zum weg zu bringen. am nachmittag probierte julie zum ersten mal, charlie, das pferd, vor das holz zu spannen und mit seiner kraft das holz nach vorne zu ziehen. es hat halbwegs gut funktioniert und sie hatte auf jeden fall eine menge zu tun, denn obwohl charlie sehr stoisch ist, ist er auch sehr kräftig wenn er sich mal bewegt.
unser mittwoch startete sehr verregnet und ziemlich kalt, wir haben im wald sehr viele bäume zum transport vorbereitet. nach einem gespräch mit mario haben wir nach dem mittag nach einem möglichst großen v-förmigen stück ausschau gehalten und auch eins gefunden. julie hat sich am nachmittag mit wieder charlie befasst, er hatte leider keine lust zu arbeiten, weshalb wir dann nach zwei stunden immernoch bei den balken vor marios haus standen. ich hab julie dann aufs pferd geholfen und sie hat eine runde mit ihm gedreht, um eine bessere verbindung zu ihm aufzubauen.
früh am abend hab ich mit mario in der werkstatt an dem holzwagen gebastelt, ich hab eine zahnförmiges stück stahlblech geschnitten und es dann an den wagen geschweißt, damit das holz beim bewegen nicht mehr so sehr nach rechts und links schaukelt.
am donnerstag setzten wir nach dem frühstück die arbeit im wald fort. es waren nur noch zwei sehr große stämme zum bewegen übrig. den einen möchte mario in dem neuen haus gerne als einen zentralen pfeiler in der mitte des hauses einsetzten, deswegen müssen wir ihn am ende als 5 meter langes stück aus dem wald entfernen. zum mittag gab es schmackhafte muscheln mit nudeln. am frühen nachmittag sind fritz und resi angekommen, ein pärchen aus österreich, das auch für längere zeit unterwegs ist. wir haben dann am nachmittag bis in den abend mit julie zusammen holz den berg hinauf gebracht. charlie war dabei eine große hilfe, wenn er denn mal lust hatte zu laufen. sehr erschöpft ging es, nach dem butterbrot mit gemüse abendbrot, ins bett.
am freitag bin ich irgendwie sehr früh aufgewacht und konnte dann nicht mehr gut einschlafen. ich hab also die jacke übergeworfen und bin eine runde spazieren gegangen. hier wachsen überall brombeeren und ich hab eine kleine schale voll mitgebracht.
am vormittag haben christina und ich zusammen mit fritz das fenster am voluntario-haus repariert und die tür entsperrt. dann ging es wieder in den wald, und wir haben mit vereinten kräften, den riesigen stamm bewegt, bis er weiter unten lag und wir endlich vermessen und anzeichnen konnten. wir haben dem nachbar eine eindeutige markierung hinterlassen und da steht außerdem noch in spanisch in den baum geritzt: hallo, bitte hier abschneiden.
ein paar kleinere stämme später sind wir aufgrund starken regens zurück zu marios haus und haben das abendessen vorbereitet. heute abend sollte julies letzter tag sein, denn sie hatte endlich die ersehnte mail, von ihrem nächsten arbeitgeber erhalten. die ernte würde in kürze beginnen, und sie morgen mit uns in die stadt fahren. wir haben, nachdem mario mit julie noch einmal losgefahren ist um etwas bier und wein zu kaufen, den abend erst mit karten spielen und dann mit musik und gesang verbracht.
samstag mussten wir extrem früh aufstehen, da wir um acht losfahren wollten. der bus der julie nach la conception bringen würde sollte um 9 abfahren und es ist schon ein stück weg bis nach puerto montt. als wir sie verabschiedeten kam die sonne raus und wir verbrachten einen erfolgreichen tag in der stadt. ich hab endlich die postkarten abgeschickt und zwei meiner besten freunde können sich in zukunft auf das öffnen des briefkastens freuen. mein vor 4 wochen über amazon bestelltes päckchen ist leider immer noch nicht angekommen, vielmehr hab ich eine nachricht erhalten, das es wohl noch mindestens 10 tage länger dauern wird. wir haben einige pakete für mario an verschiedenen logistik hallen abgeholt und auf dem markt eine große menge gemüse und obst gratis abgestaubt. ich hab auch einen großen topf voll honig vom land und etwas sehr guten käse gekauft. nachdem wir zurückkehrten haben wir die kisten mit essen aus der stadt nach drinnen getragen und angefangen zu schnippeln und einzukochen, einen riesigen topf voll marmelade aus weintrauben, äpfeln und anderen obst. sehr lecker! zum abendbrot gab es brot mit butter und gemüsepfanne.
der wecker meines handys klingelte mich am sonntag früh aus dem bett, es würde mal wieder zeit die familie anzurufen und die verwandten auf den neuesten stand zu bringen. anschließend hab ich frühstück gekocht und nachdem alle gegessen hatten begann ich mit der suche nach einer zwille. mario hat eine irgendwo in der werkstatt rumliegen und einige zeit später hab ich sie gefunden, hinter einem eimer. leider ist der gummi kaputt und ich musste einen fahrradschlauch aufschneiden und damit die funktion der waffe wiederherstellen. noah, der mit dem hacken von holz und kochen des restlichen gemüses beschäftigt war ist beim anblick der funktionierenden zwille fast ausgeflippt, er war dann feuer und flamme für den plan, den mir mario erläutert hatte. auf dem nachbargrundstück stehen zwei über 600 jahre alte nadelbäume, deren samen man essen kann. natürlich kann man einfach warten bis die samen hinunter fallen, aber es macht natürlich viel mehr spaß sie mit kleinen steinen abzuschießen. damit verbrachten wir dann also den vormittag. zum mittag kam vor der tür mit dem bus ein schweizer pärchen an, adelheida und ethien, sie werden für einige tage bleiben und dann mit einem auto weiter in den süden reisen. ich hab ihnen alles gezeigt und einiges erklärt, sie scheinen ganz nett zu sein, nur das lachen von ade ist etwas anstrengend. da wir heute mit den jungs und dem neuen pärchen 8 leute sind, haben wir am nachmittag den riesigen stamm bewegt und ihn tatsächlich bis vor marios haus ziehen können.
mario hatte mit charo, einem seiner nachbarn ausgemacht, das wir alle zu ihm zum essen kommen, es gab ein besonderes mahl, curanto, ein erdloch wird mit heißen steinen gefüllt und anschließend kommen viele muscheln, kartoffel fladen und äpfel oben drauf. es ist super lecker und klasse, das alle gemeinsam um das warme loch sitzen und schnabulieren.
leider hat es dann angefangen zu regnen, aber das hat die stimmung nur so lange gedrückt, bis wir alle gemeinsam in das haus von charo eingeladen wurden und uns am warmen ofen wärmten. wein und bier taten ihre wirkung und als charo auf der alten stereoanlage eine platte mit tanzmusik auflegte fingen wir alle an zu tanzen. so sehr das die musik immer mal wieder stockte und ausging.
später am abend kamen auch noch einige freunde und nachbarn von charo vorbei und wir haben mit claudio ausgemacht, dass wir am dienstag zusammen angeln gehen. am frühen morgen fuhren wir zu neunt im auto zu marios haus, beziehungsweise ins meer, wo wir dann auf das dach kletterten und zu unsterblichen songs mitsangen, bevor wir alle erschöpft ins bett fielen.

Here, too, it gets colder and colder and the cats crowd under the warm stove, they meow heartwarming, while I have some time before the evening bread to tell you in a few lines from the last week. to read without interruption after the last post.

monday after breakfast we had to look for the tools, that are the axes, which mario then sharpened again, before we all carried them together with the cart into the forest, to start there with the crushing of the big trees. Mario has some land further up the hill and wants to build a new house out of whole trunks with traditional building methods. the work is fun and relatively relaxed with the guys and the music.

Mario was in the city with Christina in the morning and brought two bags of shells, which we finished cooking in the oven in the garden. Following the rice pan / mussel noon, there was an extended siesta, before we fastened ten four-meter logs of wood on the cart in the forest and after a few walks piled it all up in front of Mario's house.
In the evening I made bread and read a lot. Besides, mario had asked me if I would like to think of a way concept for the new garlic field, which I also did. I fell asleep on the sofa and had a cozy warm night.
After breakfast on Wednesday we moved into the woods and hacked what the stuff to keep as many strains in the sunshine to bring away. In the afternoon Julie tried for the first time, to stretch, Charlie, the horse in front of the wood and with his power to pull the wood forward. it worked reasonably well and she definitely had a lot to do, because although charlie is very stoic, he is also very strong when he moves.

our wednesday started very rainy and quite cold, we have prepared in the forest very many trees for transport. after a conversation with mario, after noon we looked for the largest possible v-shaped piece and also found one. julie has dealt with charlie again in the afternoon, unfortunately he did not feel like working, which is why we still stood in front of Mario's house after two hours. I then helped Julie on horseback and she did a round with him to build a better connection with him.

early in the evening I was in the workshop with mario to make some improvements to the wood cart, I've cut a tooth-shaped piece of flat steel and then welded to the car, so that the wood when moving is not so much rocking to the right and left.

on thursday we continued work in the forest after breakfast. There were only two very large stems left to move. the one would like to use mario in the new house as a central pillar in the middle of the house, so we have to remove it at the end as a 5-meter-long piece from the forest. for lunch there were tasty mussels with noodles. fritz and resi arrived in the early afternoon, a couple from austria who are also traveling for a longer time. we then brought wood up the mountain together with Julie in the afternoon until evening. Charlie was a great help when he felt like running. very exhausted, after the sandwich with vegetables and dinner, we went to bed.

On friday I woke up very early and could not sleep well. So I threw the jacket over and went for a walk. blackberries are growing everywhere and I brought a small bowl full.
In the morning, Christina and I, together with Fritz, repaired the window at voluntario's house and unlocked the door. then we went back into the forest, and we joined forces, moved the huge trunk, until it was lower and we could finally measure and mark. We have left the neighbor a clear mark and there is also still in Spanish scratched in the tree: hello, please cut off here.

a few smaller tribes later we are back to Mario's house due to heavy rain and have prepared the dinner. Julia's last day was supposed to be tonight, because she had finally received the long-awaited mail from her next employer. the harvest would start soon, and tomorrow she will drive with us into the city. After Mario left with Julie once again to buy some beer and wine, we played the evening with cards and then with music and singing.

Saturday we had to get up extremely early, because we wanted to leave at eight. julies bus to la conception would leave at 9 and it is already a bit away to puerto montt. when we said goodbye the sun came out and we spent a successful day in the city. I finally sent the postcards and two of my best friends can look forward to opening the mailbox in the future. my ordered 4 weeks ago via Amazon parcel is unfortunately still not arrived, but rather I have received a message that it will probably take at least 10 days longer. we picked up a few parcels for mario at various logistic halls and got a large amount of vegetables and fruit on the market for free. I also bought a big pot full of honey from the country and some very good cheese. After we returned, we carried the crates of food out of the car and began to snip and boil, a huge pot full of jam, grapes, apples and other fruit. delicious! For dinner there was bread with butter and a bowl of fried vegetables.

the alarm clock of my cellphone rang early on sunday morning, it would be time again to call the family and bring the relatives up to date. then I cooked breakfast and after all had eaten I started looking for a slingshot. Mario has place it somewhere in the workshop and some time later I found her, behind a bucket. Unfortunately, the rubber is broken and I had to cut a bicycle tube and restore the function of the weapon. noah, who was busy chopping wood and cooking the rest of the vegetables, almost freaked out at the sight of the working twos, then he was on fire for the plan that mario had explained to me. on the neighboring property there are two more than 600 year old conifer trees whose seeds you can eat. of course you can just wait for the seeds to fall down, but of course it's much more fun shooting them down with small stones. so we spent the morning so then. At noon, by bus, a Swiss couple, Adelheida and Ethien arrived in front of the door. They will stay for a few days and then continue their journey by car to the South. I showed them everything and explained a lot, they seem to be very nice, only the laugh of ade is a bit exhausting. Since we are 8 people today with the boys and the new couple, in the afternoon we moved the huge trunk and were able to actually move it to Mario's house.

Mario had arranged with charo, one of his neighbors, that we all come to eat with him, there was a special meal, curanto, a hole is filled with hot stones and then come many mussels, potato patties and apples on top. It is super delicious and great, all sitting together around the warm hole and cheat.

Unfortunately it started to rain, but that only kept the mood until we were all invited to the house of charo and warmed up in the warm stove. wine and beer did their work and as charo on the old stereo set up a plate with dance music we all started to dance. so much so that the music always stopped and went off again and again.
later in the evening some friends and neighbors of charo came by and we made out with claudio that we would go fishing together on tuesday. In the early morning we drove to Mario's house with nine persons in the car, or more into the sea, where we then climbed onto the roof and sang to immortal songs, before we all fell exhausted into bed.
