I used a regular ballpoint pen to draw the shades on the hand and face. Basic cross hatching. Tilting the pen helps make the lines thinner and lighter. Occasionally wipe the tip to avoid pooling but since the paper is textured expect unexpected blotches. 🙊

So as you can see, voila!
Shading is completely up to you. I didnt make it too dark.

Next, some inking with a marker pen. Broad tip.

I draw the hair plain pitch black, no gradations.

I draw tree stumps and an axe and start to color it.
I planned on putting thorns and roses but to me it would take too much time and attention. I want to focus on the animals.

On the way I adjusted the hair, and the eyes too.
Her eyes have earth in it.
Can we see earth her way? Or this way?

Some pics I took, they might all look the same but they look different to me. The final output!

I colored the eyes with practically the rainbow.
Grey mostly on the white parts of the eyeball and I used a white inked pen to make highlights and shine. I hope it looks shiny and bit real.
Red as well since she cried. Koala hugs! 🐨
