in #scaredycatguide8 years ago (edited)

The New Year is about to be here and like many - resolutions are made, goals are set and lists are made. This is a practice that should done regularly as opposed to once a year, however like they say - when in rome!

So here are 5 books that will add value to your life, financial health and state of mind. They certainly did for me!

The Five Reads

Think And Grow Rich - Napolean Hill

This book is a classic and has been around forever. It really focuses on mindset and the power of thought. Dozens of examples are used from people like Henry Ford to Thomas Edison.

The Four Hour Work Week - Timothy Ferriss

Written in the new millennium it focuses on a "New Rich" as opposed to the traditional thought of wealth and retirement. For example - who is doing better; someone making 100k a year working 80 hour weeks or someone making 50k a year working 10 hour weeks.

Just Listen - Mark Ghoulston

Talk about making you think about if you communicate with people well or not. This book will set your ability to communicate with people on fire. Whether it a friend, coworker or your child it ignites your ability to engage people, but more importantly get through in times of stress.

Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki

Most everyone had heard of this book - most everyone should read it! It simplifies money and debt for the masses and deciphers between good debt and bad debt.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind - T. Harv Eker

A book that delves into the mindset of successful and wealthy people. More importantly is slaps you in the face with how your beliefs and more so hate for successful people actually limit you from having success.

Conclusion

There you have it. 5 books the scaredycatguide knows will leave a positive impact on you in 2017.
