Great post. Cults are in many forms. Religions are the most obvious that suck you in with "feel-good" imagery and beliefs such as promises of an "afterlife" where you get to escape your denial and fear of death. Sell someone something they want to buy (i.e. believe in), and you have a loyal, trusted, faithful believer... oh wait... isn't that what religions and politicians do? Yup!
