Indeed, it works in a manner extremely analogous to computer viruses, botnets in particular, just applied to humans. But scams of this type thrive on ignorance. The freedom of information made possible by the internet helps us spread "antivirus" just as much as it helps the MLM. We're at least on more even footing now.
