Good afternoon steemers today I want to share a scam that was made to my brother. Two (2) years ago he needed a battery for his cell phone, which was not available in the city where we live and he decided to buy it through an online site at a national level, he investigated which vendor was better for him through the reputation they had, saw that there was a seller who met the requirements and decided to write to see if he had availability of the battery and it turned out that if he had, but to complete the purchase had to make a series of requirements which the page gives two (2) options:

1. Payment Market: This is done by credit card (tdc), which the seller had to make the shipment and if the buyer really received the order should release the payment.

2. Bank transfer or Bank deposit.

But my brother decided for decision #2 as there was insufficient fund in his tdc, he made the transfer but since he did not have the same bank that the seller had the transfer had to be processed in 24h, maximum 48h depending on the issuing bank, the first 24h and the seller wrote to say that the transfer had not yet been made effective, 48 hours were completed and the seller wrote to say that he had already received the transfer and that he was going to proceed with the shipment which he should send to me. brother the guide number or coupon to withdraw the order, usually shipments take 2 days to arrive, those days passed and my brother goes to the entrusting company and when it's his turn to withdraw they tell him his coupon number It does not exist, I immediately wrote to the seller and he did not respond, he thought that the seller could answer him at some point but it was not like that and finally he told that he had been scammed he did not get what he wanted and he lost his money.

This is the story of my brother @swissclive scam, in my country (Venezuela) there are many sellers of dubious reputation so you have to be vigilant when making purchases.

Sort:

So many scams in the world.
Especially on the internet, even reputable companies are working all of the angles they can to make a buck.

This happened in Venezuela. He ordered goods which were never delivered. The seller had a good reputation. Do you think the seller never sent the goods - destroying his good reputation, or do you think they were stolen en route?

In my country there is a saying that "the caller gives" if the seller did not respond to the messages I think it was him that broke the shipping company, or a robbery on the way because they did not report any theft.
