The guy makes money selling ideas.
My guess on what the guy is going to do:
- Start an ICO where people will invest in.
- Maybe really build something... probably not. I think his game will be something sketchy where you all have to buy is token and wait for a centrain date for something that's not going to happen.
- Cash out when the token is worth a lot
You can't find anything about the guy... only marketing. 10 Million prize pool? That money has to come from YOU first!
Seriously! Do your research!
Matt Trainer is backed up by friends who do the same kind of shit.
They just sell themselves and their ideas and get a lot of people to invest.
You can't find any concrete information on the guy, just what he wants you to see.
You can't find any proof that the projects are real.

I wasted an hour doing research on the guy. Everything seemed so real, he has so many people supporting him..
So I wouldn't want to call it a scam, maybe he really wanted to do something.
When someone announces a game in the future, it better be something real!

I saw this game as well, and I'm also skeptical. I'll pay attention to it for the time being. But the second he asks for anything, I'm out.
I went through his Facebook, scrolled down a lot and came across this video:

Why that video reminds me of every promotional video that end with some special offer for 1000 dollars or more?
And the worst part is that he's still being upvoted. :(
I hope Steemit won't be an easy target for these kind of posts in the future.
I mostly dont like the part that for the webinar you have to download an EXECUTABLE file!!!! when there are different ways to do it.

I agree with everything you said regarding the post. I don't think SteemIt should try to be a safe place, instead those who see the potential for scam should point it out in an educational manner which you have done. Now let each person make their own decision.
(I am not telling you what to do, just suggesting we don't try to identify and label scams, but rather focus on the extremely hight risk.) which is exactly what you have done.
