The Ugly Truth Behind Steemit
"STEEM is not decentralized. From the beginning it was and still remains highly centralized. The launch of the STEEM network was heavily rigged to ensure that the developer and his ‘friends’ had control over majority of supply. Furthermore, this has major implications for the Steemit platform."

There are too many assumptions in your article to warrant a truthful claim to what you are saying. This is not how good journalism works.
You are right, that the first users of Steemit are the richest. Same is true for Satoshi and Bitcoin. And what censorship are you referring to, in a network, predominantly dominated by articles on arts and crafts?
You are entitled to your opinion. I lost money, time, got ideas stolen from and more. I can clearly say now that I got scammed. Maybe read the link and do some research it is quite obvious... Or maybe look at the non stop falling of the price...
How did you lose money and get scammed? Which unique ideas of yours were stolen?
There's a different reason the price is falling, and it's not because of a few people holding a big portion of the money. If that were the case, all fiat currencies would have devaluated a long time ago.
I paid over 500$ USD for my account which is barely worth 80$ now. When I vote full power I don't even give 1 cents. As for the ideas stolen I won't even get in this debate. Not to mention all the projects I tried to set up for the minnows that got mostly ignored. The price is falling because no one wants to buy those worthless steem token...
So let's sum up:
So I have the following questions:
I only read excuses from someone who didn't read up on what he was investing in.
To answer your final question, I don't think the price of Steem will ever reach that of Bitcoin - I've written about it several times. Steem, however, is very much tradable - I think there's profit, while it's jumping around the $1 mark. It may be very possible that at the end of the two year period of withdrawal, you may return your initial investment, as Steem goes slowly up.
Says the guy who make tons of assumptions... Makes me wonder if you even read what I typed...
You don't even answer the question and to be honest I don't care. Your own comments further prove this system is centralized, broken and a scam.
Now imagine if each vote from the Reddit staff counted as 5000 votes. This is what is basically happening on Steemit.
Steemit is basically a version of Reddit that is almost completely controlled and censored by the creator and his ‘friends’. The content on Steemit and value of STEEM is also at their complete mercy. Unlike decentralized networks, Steemit is almost completely dependent on the developer and his ‘friends’.
