Can we cheat Steemit ?
I mean is it possible to make multiple fake accounts and then use the upvoting system to your advantage ?
Can't we make more then one account without being detected and then upvote the posts from multiple accounts. And also put the useless posts for Curie ?
Also if my wife use my laptop and makes an account, she is going to upvote almost all of my posts and vice versa, would Steemit take it as a scam ? Because she'll be using the same laptop so 2 accounts would be accessing Steemit from single ip. And also i if she earns good SBD in her account might send her steem power to my account or vice versa, will it not be declared as scam accounts by Steemit ?

Dont make fake accounts. It's not worth it. If you share an laptop, that should be fine

Do you have to PROVE that you have only one account and it's your's ? Never heard of that.
No law, no rules here. It's not facebook =)
Nobody can ban you here. The worst that can happen - you'll be flagged to low reputation and nobody will see your posts unless they click on them to be shown. Can you still write posts? yes. Can you get banned? NO
It will only influence on your rewards

I tried with another account. nothing happened. you don't get the purpose of steem.
Steem is totally different from all the social networks you've ever been registered at.
Well, actually my question was how steemit differentiates between fake multiple accounts from a single laptop from the genuine multiple accounts from it ?
nobody cares, do you have 50 000 accounts from one laptop or just one.
if you manage to register 50 000 accounts, then go for it. There are even services that register accounts for you with the SP you want on your new account. The price is cheap.
I'll tell you once again, this is nothing like facebook or any social network you ever registered on.

If your post is annoying, steemcleaners, cheetah or whoever else come and flag it. That's all.
You can claim yourself as moderator, let's say, and flag whatever you think is wrong, why not?
Everyone has same rights. The only thing that is different - steem power.
Invest 10 millions of dollars, raise your steem power and go flag steem creators if you want. Then you will dominate the platform.

I think all those are not viewed as a scam about your wife sending you SBD, anyways but making multiple accounts also helps STEEM if you investing in those accounts as well.
Well, if that is the case then why they dont allow multiple free accounts ? i mean why they ask for $10 for each new account ?

Go get it for free, you just need to have unique phone number for each new account.

ALL your questions might be relevant to FB maybe, but not to Steem. Have you seen any rules here? There are no rules, only things that people agreed that are good to be flagged, that's all. Steem has lots of bots, created by simple users like you or me.

Multiple account upvotes? well, if you invest to their Steem Power, you're actually making Steeem a better place to be. Until you recieve the confirmation e-mail for the new account - everything you do is considered ok
Now let's sum it up: 1. You are free to do here anything you want. 2. Everyone is free to do anything they want, so if some random idiot flags your post - nobody can help you. If you flag someone for no reason - nobody but you can remove the flag 3. Steem has no laws, only reccomendations. 4. The purpose of you creating 1 account or 1000 accounts - it's your own purpose, nobody has the right to blame you. 5. You mostly won't be flagged for adequate polite actions and posts (no guarantee though)
So, everything is solely up to you
Votes are not equal but determined by STEEM POWER. You could make multiple accounts, and many do for various reasons, but it isn't easy to use for a scam from multiple upvotes, because you would need to delegate or divide your STEEM POWER, which means all those little upvotes would be the same voting power as one big vote from an account with all that steem power in it. Generally when people create a second account, it is for a bot, a special project or some other serious reason.
Also, you can upvote your wifes posts no problem.

One caveat, you can't use the regular steemit sign up process to create a second account. There are several methods of getting one, depending on whether you want it anonymous or not.
do all you want. ANYTHING is ok here. you can send your or wife's money wherever you want - it's your money. Upvote what you want, flag what you want, follow anyone you want. total freedom of actions
This isn't quite true. There are certain unsociable actions that can get you flagged into oblivion.

Well, I meant more the art fraud cases. Text fraud tends to be caught by @cheetah. Not saying the flagging system is perfect, like everything else on the STEEM platform, power is relative to your VESTS. That means the platform isn't quite as decentralised as it claims, but it is compared to corporate platforms like facebook et al.

No, but your VEST level does impact your 'bandwidth' on the blockchain. You won't be able to 'like' as often. (Not that your likes will mean anything with 0 VESTS), comment as often, post as often, or claim rewards etc. You will also have a problem getting noticed, if that matters to you. If you are just here to mess around, and don't care about all that, then sure.
