THE EXERCISE OF OUR FAITH

Mark 11.20-24
20 And as they passed by in the morning, they saw that the fig tree had withered from the roots. 21 Then Peter, remembering, said to him, Master, behold, the fig tree which you cursed has dried up. 22 And Jesus answered and said to them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be taken up, and cast into the sea, and will not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he says shall be done, what he saith shall be done unto him. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever you pray for, believe that you will receive it, and it will come to you.

The positive lesson that can be drawn from the curse to the fig tree is the power of prayer with faith. A mountain is a symbol of an obstacle, impediment or insurmountable problem. Faith is the key that frees the resources of heaven to face any adversity.
Our savior's action of cursing the fig tree indicates a passion in prayer and in the faith that we need to learn. When the disciples noticed with surprise that the fig tree had dried up from the roots, Jesus responded with a clear order "have faith in God."

So from Jesus' own lips we receive the most direct and practical instruction concerning the exercise of our faith.
Therefore we must internalize that faith must be deposited in God. First is the faith that is expressed as the faith that is sought. The almighty is the source and the basis of our faith and our being. Faith flows only towards Him.
Faith is not a trick we make with our lips, but an expression that springs from the conviction of our hearts.

Jesus teaches us that the faith in our hearts has to be expressed, which makes it active and effective, producing concrete results.
Your faith in God is the key to what you receive
When you believe that God exists, that he loves you and is attentive to your needs, then faith in the heart is born.

The words of Jesus, "whatever you ask," extend this principle to all aspects of our lives. The only restrictions are that our faith is "in God", our living father, and in accordance with his will and word, believing in our hearts without hesitation.
Good reflection @xiore, thanks for sharing.
