Exodus 20 English Standard Version (ESV) 15 “You shall not steal.

Not stealing is the eighth commandment, this is a sentence without explanations, preambles or ornaments, it does not need much meditation, it is not an allegory, it is not written in parable.

The Lord God Almighty, dictated and thus recorded, "Thou shalt not steal". It is up to me to fulfill this commandment, today it remains in force and for ever and ever for ever will be.

I am the one who gets me involved, spinning it in my thought, I intend to justify the unjustifiable sometimes by minimizing the fact of borrowing without permission or saying: "I will replenish it before it is noticed", whatever stealing is stealing; I have no valid excuse to do so either in public or in secret.

I won't steal today. Nothing, either I'm or I'm not.

No robar es el octavo mandamiento, esto es una sentencia sin explicaciones, preámbulos ni adornos, no necesita mucha meditación, no es una alegoría, no está escrito en parábola.

El Señor Dios Todopoderoso, dictó y así quedó registrado, “No Robarás”. Queda de mi parte cumplir este mandamiento, hoy por hoy mantiene su vigencia y por los siglos de los siglos así será.

Soy yo quien me enredo, dándole vueltas en mi pensamiento, pretendo justificar lo injustificable a veces minimizando el hecho de tomar prestado sin permiso o diciendo: “lo repondré antes que se note”, como sea robar es robar ; no tengo ninguna excusa válida para hacerlo ni en público ni en secreto.

Hoy lo haré, no robaré. Nada, o soy o no soy.
