WELCOME TO THE BLOG OF STEEMCHURCH VENEZUELA @sc-v

Earth Day, International Mother Earth Day or World Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd in order to raise awareness about the preservation of our planet Earth, designated by the General Assembly of the United Nations in its 80th plenary session held on April 22, 2009.

From our children's canteens we are promoting the "GREEN FOOTPRINT" campaign with the purpose of creating in our children the mor for the environment, the earth. Yesterday we shared a special day remembering the importance of taking care of the earth, what God has not delivered.

We have time for a change of mentality and habits to facilitate and improve the situation for future generations. Hundreds of examples that we know, and that we do not always put into practice, contribute to making the planet more sustainable and habitable. In fact, the best inheritance that we can leave to young people is a habitable planet, because the Earth does not belong to humans, but it is these that belong to the Earth.

With the theme of this year "End the contamination of plastics"

We set out to teach the children with recreational activities, plantings, and talk about the land.

We celebrate Earth Day to remember that the planet and its ecosystems give us life and provide us with the raw materials to survive.

This Earth Day focuses on recycling the plastic that fills and pollutes our oceans and habitats by killing thousands of animals each day. However, Earth Day is much more than that, and there are hundreds of ways to get involved. The call is still to recycle.

Recycling the lids and bringing them to the storage centers can do much for our land and for us.

We ourselves, and apart from joining the acts that are organized in all countries, we can celebrate Earth Day in an ecological way and in a particular way.

1.-Tell a friend to change from incandescent lamps to energy saving lamps.
Invite to plant a tree.
2.-Teach children to appreciate and care for nature. And about the importance of biodiversity.
3.- Play with children on the street. Take this day to teach them for example the importance of taking care of the environment but not from home, or from a computer.
4.- Tell that person who has thrown garbage in the street, pick it up and throw it in the garbage container.
5.-Recycle, and encourage our friends to do it too.
6.- Do you play any sport.

We have also contacted with NGOs that do important recycling works in Venezuela as "Come and Recycle Foundation" in order to unify works.

The main objectives are to provide a human context, motivate people to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development and encourage cooperation so that the environment is sustainable, as this will ensure that all nations and people enjoy a future more prosperous and secure.

In all these years, concern for the environment has gone from being something very marginal, has been accepted by the majority of society. Despite this, we are getting worse at an environmental level. Today, the problems are no longer just the ozone layer, environmental pollution and lack of drinking water, today environmental threats are soaring.

That is why different organizations and associations fight so that Earth Day is not just one day a year, but that it becomes long-term actions, with clear objectives for those who fight on a daily basis. An example of this is the multitude of actions that are carried out in thousands of schools and schools around the world, which on the one hand have an immediate impact on the environment and, on the other, ecological awareness in the face of future generations.

At the same time, the celebration of World Earth Day serves for the ecological community to meet and evaluate the environmental policies carried out by the governments of the different countries.

Everything is not enough to make us aware that we are destroying the planet, it is not too late we can still save it, let's celebrate Earth Day and fight to save it!

INTERNATIONAL EARTH DAY: A GREAT OCCASION TO RAISE CHILDREN ON THE IMPORTANCE OF CARING FOR OUR PLANET.THANKS @SC-V.

That the good health of the Earth depends a lot on our attitudes towards the environment. It is necessary that children acquire positive habits in regard also to nature, such as:

  • Avoid contamination of fields, rivers, mountains, etc. Encourage them not to throw or leave waste and garbage on the floor, etc.

  • Use water responsibly. Encourage them not to waste yogurt, for example, on a toy, etc.

  • Set up an orchard, sow the land, irrigate it, take care of it, so that the children realize that if we take care of the land, it will bear fruit.

It is imperative that children learn, in a natural and fun, the value of water, land, air, and how important it is for the planet that we do not contaminate or dirty. Parents and teachers play an important role in this regard.

As parents or educators it is essential to instill from very early ages the importance of preserving the planet in which we live. Children are the adults of tomorrow and their attitude will depend on their conservation.

From the earliest age, it is a need for children to be aware of the importance of conserving the place and the planet where we live.

Planet Earth is the planet where we live and inhabit. If one were to think about everything that our planet contains, about the number of species that live together, about the monumental works that man has created in it, he ends up realizing that the Earth is immense and that it offers a perfect equilibrium in terms of nature, unfortunately, man has been responsible for manipulating even when it is known that such manipulation brings serious problems by endangering species of living beings, as is happening with plant and animal species.

"The collective responsibility of fostering harmony with nature and Mother Earth, and reaching the right balance between the economic, social and environmental needs of present and future generations," were some of the reasons given by the United Nations World Organization to celebrate this day.

Our planet Earth is the home of millions of living beings and it is our responsibility as humans, to take care of it. Environmental awareness is not only a matter of adults, on the contrary, it is increasingly important to develop respect towards the environment for children through small actions that become habits.
