Riches, honor and life

Proverbs 22: 4
"Riches, honor and life are the remuneration of humility and fear of Jehovah."
Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960).

Today I want to meditate on the word of God through these three words described in the book of proverbs as the remuneration of humility and the fear of Jehovah.
All things in this life have an objective and an end and each of them teach us experiences that guide us to receive a reward for what we have done.
Obedience to God is one of the biblical principles that teach us very positive effects in our daily lives and certainly brings remuneratioN.

What is a remuneration? A remuneration is a payment given to a person for a service rendered. This can be through money or other material things.
enerally, people who work or provide service in an institution or company receive a salary called compensation for the services provided.
In the same way, the Bible teaches us that people who approach God and obey Him practicing humility and fear as lifestyles will also receive retribution. And what kind of retribution!

The retribution we will receive according to the quoted verse is: Riches, honor and life, for it tells us that they are the remuneration of humility and fear of Jehovah.
This raises that the humble person as well as the one who fears God receives this retributioN.

Remember that a humble person is one who depends totally on God, recognizes his faults and knows that he needs God to be able to move forward.
In the same way a person who fears God obeys keeps the word and honors God.

First we are going to interpret the word "wealth", we would all like to have wealth and if it comes from God it is much better, then the word of God teaches us:

Proverbs 10:22
22 The blessing of Jehovah is the one that enriches,
And he doesn't add sadness to her.

Wealth is the abundance of resources, a personal or spiritual individual position and God has promised to reward us with this promise when we are humble and obey his word
But what happens when we do not receive this word but rather we have poverty and scarcity? I believe that something is happening and that we are neither humble nor fear God, because God is not the son of man to lie and he keeps all his promises. Joshua's book says so.

Honor is another reward for those who believe and obey God with humility, not everyone has the privilege of receiving this word. Remember that the Bible is clear when it tells us that God honors those who honor them.

1 SAMUEL 2:30

Therefore, the Lord, God of Israel, declares: "Surely I had said that your house and your father's house would walkbefore me forever"; but now the Lord declares: “Far be this from me, because I will honor those who honor me, and those who despise me will be held to little. (NASB)

Honor is esteem and respect and when we honor God we respect it and it is our priority therefore God will honor us with all spiritual and material blessings.

And finally the remuneration: "Life" is also a promise that will follow those who honor God with humility and fear. The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the truth and the life and He came to give us life and life in abundance.

Deuteronomy 30:19
"To heaven and earth I put today as witnesses against you that I have placed before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life to live, you and your offspring." (NASB).
