JEHOVA DOES NOT LOOK AT WHAT MAN LOOKS AT
The human being always acts by sight for what we can look or feel and we are very good at making ourselves opinions of others just for what we teen in front of our eyes.
For example, when we look at something beautiful, it seems pleasant to us and we even miss it without reflecting whether it suits us or not simply because we act according to our eyes.
Many people have acted wrongly when choosing moments, things and even a couple because they simply look at the external without mediating the external situation that should be the most important.
Also the men of God have gone through this situation and today we find in this passage an example to reflect on what God really wants to do with all the people who approach Him.
Samuel 16: 1-7
The Lord said to Samuel, How long will you mourn Saul, having rejected it so that he will not reign over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and come, I will send you to Jesse of Bethlehem, because of your children I have provided myself with a king.
2 And Samuel said, How will I go? If Saul knew, he would kill me. Jehovah replied: Take a calf from the cow with you, and say: I have come to offer sacrifice to Jehovah.
3 And call Jesse to sacrifice, and I will teach you what to do; and you will anoint me that I will tell you.
4 So Samuel did as Jehovah told him; and after he arrived in Bethlehem, the elders of the city came out to meet him with fear, and said: Is your coming peaceful?
5 He answered: Yes, I come to offer sacrifice to Jehovah; sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, he called them to sacrifice.
6 And it came to pass that when they came, he saw Eliab, and said, Verily, before the LORD is his anointed.
7 And Jehovah said to Samuel, Do not look at his opinion, or at the height of his stature, because I cast him away; because Jehovah does not see what man sees; For man looks at what is before his eyes, but Jehovah looks at the heart.
(Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)
The man easily attaches to things whether earthly or human and this was the case of Samuel who constantly lamented and cried to Saul but God had already rejected him as king of Israel and tells him to get up and stop mourning because He no longer wanted Saul as king but one of Isai's sons and as we can read in the context of the passage Samuel immediately began to choose according to what his eyes looked according to his opinion but Jehovah God knowing his intentions tells him in verse 7 the following:
"And Jehovah said to Samuel, Do not look at his opinion, or at the height of his stature, because I cast him away; for Jehovah does not see what man looks; for man looks at what is before his eyes, but Jehovah look at the heart. " (RVR1960).
This is really the condition of man but that of God is different because He looks at what is in the heart, not in appearances. God looks at the heart of man and by our heart He will judge us on the day indicated for that reason we must take care of our heart so that it is a glass of honor in the hands of the Lord
Proverbs 4:23
23 Above all things saved, keep your heart;
Because life flows from him.
(RVR1960).
Our life flows from our heart and is the most important since it is through the heart that we can please God and it is in the heart that we treasure all things for good or for bad.
It is important that we can make our hearts a great treasure to keep it in the presence of the Lord and begin to value things for the fruits and their actions and not for the appearance because the heart is intangible and invisible to others and we must try to pay attention .

You remember that appearances deceive but the heart never deceives God knows it perfectly and knows what is inside Him, therefore you meditate very well and reflect on caring for and treasuring what pleases God and that is worthy of imitating.
Nice message @ricci01, really man acts like this but our God is fair.
The Lord really knows who we are. He is the only one that can understand us and look us as we really are.
