Darkness cannot drive out darkness only light can do
In life we have two things for which we must decide and it is to walk in light or continue walking in darkness, because many people mistakenly walk in darkness today in the name of the light but Jesus said on one occasion: he who comes to me will have the light of life and will never walk in darkness
John 8:12
Jesus spoke to them again, saying: I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

Many people act in the name of God and walk in darkness and believe that doing all kinds of evil also pleases God, as some idolize, fornicate, adulterate, perform acts of witchcraft, change the rational use of God for equal sexes and speak of God in the name of love and we know that he who practices such things walks in darkness because the light of Christ has not shone on them.
Psalm 36: 9
9 For with you is the spring of life;
In your light we will see the light.

The psalmist David expresses in this psalm that in God is the spring of life which means that he who has God has everything and has life because he is light and in light there is life.
The apostle Paul also exhorted the people of God because they, having confessed to Christ, practiced the things that those who were in darkness did
Paul emphasized that they were not of darkness but of light, therefore they should practice the things of light
1 Thessalonians 5: 4-5
But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that the day may surprise you as a thief; because you are all children of the light and children of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness. (New American Standard)
We are children of light because Jesus has adopted us as legitimate children and has given us a new name therefore we are not of the night we are of the light and as children of light we have to shine manifesting the fruits of the spirit that are. peace, love, kindness, meekness,...
