WOMAN OF IMPACTING FAITH

2 Kings 4: 8-37

1.- She was an important woman. Even though I had financial freedom I knew that the blessing came from God. That's why I always look for a contact with the prophet Elisha. She saw how important it was to have the prophet to each of his teachings close to her and her family. It was so important for this woman that she made him a room where he lived, to be able to talk to him, and listen to everything that God spoke to him.

She said to her husband: Here now I understand that this one who always passes by our house, is a holy man of God. I ask you to make a small room and when he comes to us he stays in it. (2 Kings 4: 9-10)

2.- She received an answer to her prayer, because she was close to the Prophet of God and following his teachings, she received a response to her request that she had already forgotten. This woman had already lost hope, had accepted being a woman without fruit. And there when there was almost no hope, comes the prayer of Elisha. The greatest longing of her heart, bear fruit ... God responded to that prayer, and the following year she had a child in her arms. (2 Kings 4:17)

3.- She faced adversity in the right way. His son had a very bad headache one day, he looked for his father and he sent him to his mother. At that moment this woman realizes the seriousness of this pain. And he was diligent in seeking the prophet. She did not wait to see what happened with her son, she was quick to seek prayer, to go to the mountain of God. Even though her husband wanted to stop her.

He said: Why are you going to see him today? It is not a new moon, nor a Sabbath. (2 Kings 4:23)

  1. She took care of every word that came from her lips. In the midst of his affliction, his only son, for whom he had prayed so long, the treasure of his heart, was in danger of death, the pain, the worry in his heart was very great. When your husband asks, why are you going to see the prophet today? What was her response? ... his only word was PEACE. She could have told him, but is that you do not care about your son? many negative words because of the pressure of the moment. But this Shunamite woman kept every word that came out of her lips so she only said PEACE.

Later we continue reading:

And when the man of God saw her afar off, he said to his servant Gehazi, Behold the Shunammite. Go running to receive it and ask: Is it good for you? Does your husband and your son do well? And she said: GOOD. She could tell Gehazi about how sick her son was, but she avoided it and the only thing she said was GOOD! (2 Kings 4: 25-26)

5.- She knew how to go to the right source to be motivated. She avoided saying, confessing the problem she was experiencing to her acquaintances. I make the decision to seek in God an answer to his need.

Said the child's mother: live Jehovah and live your soul that will not leave you. (2 Kings 4:30)

She was willing to fight for an answer. He clung to God in such a way that he knew he would get the miracle. In her heart was the faith that she needed to see this miracle a reality.

Just like this woman, let's take care of our words in the midst of difficult situations. Let us be diligent in seeking God, and hold on to his hand in such a way that we do not let go until we see an answer to our prayer! God is a God of miracles! He can respond to your greatest need today!

I love the end of this story.

If you want your life to count for something, you do not have to do or invent something important. You do not have to make tons of money, live in the largest house, or guide the most luxurious car.

If you want to be important as a daughter or child of God, serve even if the world does not recognize you, have a spirit of contentment, and a faith that, no matter what happens to you and your family, you can say, "Everything is fine. "No matter the outcome, never leave God.
