A PERSONAL GOSPEL
In John 3:16 we read "For God so loved the world." But what does His love for people mean? The rest of the verse reveals the central purpose behind God's sacrifice in surrendering His Son: "That whoever believes in Him may not perish, but may have eternal life." Therefore, without exception, every person can interpret John 3:16 like this: "Because God so loved me!"
A.B. Simpson, a great missionary of the past, often hugged a globe over his chest and cried over the lost condition of the world. But his global vision was marked by compassion for people. You and I must also feel the responsibility of taking the Gospel to our world - sharing the good news from person to person.
Unfortunately, we often only think of the Great Commission in terms of "foreign missions." Perhaps "world mission" is a better term, because it includes our closest neighbors, who are part of the world to which God has called us. And they are there!
Like A.B. Simpson, embrace your immediate world through fervent prayer as you consider lost people in your family, neighborhood and workplace. Then, in your quest to live the good news and share it, expect God to open the doors of opportunity.
The light that shines in the farthest, shines brightest at home.
Very good message @opibarker, the first thing we must do is evangelize our home, our neighbors and community, as the man says if in a short time you were faithful to me, I will put you in a lot.
It feels great satisfaction when we announce the news of salvation giving opportunity to the fallen.
