WOMAN: IT IS EXAMPLE

I am always struck by the scripture where the Apostle Paul exhorts his son in faith, Timothy to be an example of believers. "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example of the believers in word, conduct, love, spirit, faith and purity" (1 Timothy 4:12) and this time I will try to expose this theme for our edification.

Have you ever wondered what is the need to set an example? To answer this question we should know what it means to be a positive example? It is a role model and therefore is a positive influence on others. Our children, daughters, the congregation, and students, tend to imitate their leaders, parents, guardians, and teachers; therefore we need to lead a quality life oriented in the right direction, with biblical objectives. Someone once said: "Your actions speak much louder than your words!" Let's put it this way. If our lives are not what they should, others will not only not want to follow us, but they will repel what we are. " When a Christian's life is contrary to what he or she says, it indicates that we are not real and that what we believe and hold is not true. Believers should be a portrait of reality, a proof that Jesus Christ saves and changes lives, in order to become a powerful magnet that captures others for Christ.

Paul exclaimed on one occasion "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ" (1 Corinthians 11: 1). What a responsibility! The great thing about this verse is that the key to leadership and spiritual maturity is not how great we are; but how and how much we are following Jesus Christ, our supreme example.

In Hebrews 13: 7 it says: "Remember your pastors, who spoke to you the word of God; consider what the result of their behavior was, and imitate their faith. "This verse teaches us that many will recognize you as a leader and imitate your faith and conduct as long as your life is in accordance with what you preach. When a leader focuses his life on the Word of God and walks by faith, others will follow his example of faith and trust in God.

Naturally, the Lord Jesus is our supreme example, our goal and our authority; but the Scriptures authorize the legitimacy to follow the people of God as examples. We need these people of God. Such people demonstrate the possibility and the reality of following the Lord and of progressing in the growth toward the likeness of Christ. They provide us with divine incentives. It is very motivating to find men and women who have truly grown in their walk through the power of the Spirit of God.

I conclude by telling you to start today, there is a long way to go. Let it be one of your priorities to live what you preach, you will see how you will be a blessing to many and your family will see in you an example to follow, remember your children and your husband do not see the Lord that you preach, they see you.
