Educating the faith

Dear friends, we must pay particular attention to the way of considering education to the Christian life so that every person can realize an authentic path of faith, through the different ages of life; a way in which the person receives deeply the Word of God and puts it into practice, becoming a witness of the Gospel.

Christian education seeks that the baptized, as they gradually begin to know the mystery of salvation, become more aware of the gift received from the faith (...) and are prepared to live according to the new man in justice and holiness of truth ». In this educational commitment the family is the first responsible. Dear parents, you are the first witnesses of the faith! Do not be afraid of the difficulties in which you are called to carry out your mission. You are not alone! The Christian community is close to you and supports you.

Know always take strength and light, participation in the celebration on the Lord's day is decisive for the family, for the whole community; It is the structure of our time.

Thanks to the encounter with Christ, to communion with him, the Christian community can witness to communion, opening itself to service, welcoming the poor and the least, recognizing the face of God in the sick and in all those in need. I invite you, therefore, starting from the contact with the Lord in daily prayer and to value in an appropriate way the educational proposals and the volunteer paths existing in the diocese, to form people who are caring, open and attentive to situations of spiritual and material distress. .

In short, pastoral action should be oriented to form mature people in the faith, to live in contexts in which God is often ignored; people coherent with faith, so that the light of Christ can be brought to all environments; people who live with joy the faith, to transmit the beauty of being Christians.
