Have you ever heard that "dirty laundry is washed at home?

Greetings to the whole community.

Surely, brother in Christ, you have heard the saying that "dirty clothes are washed at home."

What this saying means is that all families have problems that they try to hide.

Isaac and Rebecca had a lot of "dirty clothes".
God had blessed Isaac, and he became very rich. He and Rebecca had twins: two children who were very different.

Esau became a skilled hunter. He was a country man, but Jacob had a calm temperament and preferred to stay at home.

From an early age, Jacob proved dishonest and deceptive.

One day, while Jacob was preparing a stew, Esau returned from the desert, exhausted and hungry, and said to Jacob, "I'm dying of hunger, give me some of that red stew!" Very good, "replied Jacob," but give him, in return, his rights for the eldest son. "- Look, I'm starving!" Said Esau, "What is the use of the rights of the eldest son now?" Jacob said: "First you have to swear that the rights of the eldest son belong to me. So Esau made an oath, through which he sold all his rights to the eldest son to his brother Jacob.

And as if it were not enough to appropriate the inheritance of Esau, Jacob also deceived Isaac, his father, who was very old and was going blind. The time had come for Isaac to give his blessing to his eldest son, Esau. But Jacob cheated on his dying father, disguising himself and pretending to be his brother Esau. With the help of his mother, Jacob even covered his hands and neck with animal skins for his father to believe was Esau.

Then Isaac said to Jacob: - Come closer so I can touch you and make sure you really are Esau. Jacob approached his father, and Isaac touched him. --The voice is from Jacob, but the hands are from Esau - said Isaac. - Are you really my son Esau? - I ask. - Yes, I am - replied Jacob.

And it was that Isaac blessed Jacob, thinking he was Esau. It may not seem like much to steal the father's blessing from a brother, but in those moments it meant becoming the head of the family and receiving most of the inheritance. Many years later, Jacob and Esau clarified things and were reconciled, but Jacob had to suffer a lot for his lies and deceptions. He ran away from home because he was ashamed of what he had done and feared that his brother would try to take revenge. Jacob spent many years as a servant before returning with his family.

However small the sin, it has negative consequences.
