Hunger eats Venezuela
Among the most dramatic symptoms of the Venezuelan economic crisis are the scarcity of food and the ravages caused by hunger, from urban neighborhoods to rural settlements on the borders of the country.
Hunger not only wreaks havoc in the urban areas of Venezuela, but throughout its territory, from the neighborhoods of the capital to the rural settlements on the borders with Colombia, Brazil and Guyana. A study by Caritas - the only source of information at hand to take the pulse of this phenomenon - reveals that in the poorest neighborhoods of the nation about 15.5 percent of children between zero and five years old are malnourished; Another 20 percent is at imminent risk of malnutrition.
In researching this beautiful country, I realized that the provicion from on high is coming.
