WE DON'T MISS THE COMPASSION

A good friend of mine named Valeria has an amazing gift, I think many people forget they have it: the gift of compassion. Why do I call it a gift? Because she gives it to others.
You see, Valeria is homeless kittens. She goes out to rescue kittens in the forest. He takes care of them, makes sure they are healthy and finds them good homes.
A very special kitten recently came into his life. His name is Savannah. When Valeria found Savannah, she was not in good condition. I was dirty, fearful and sick. As with all new kittens, Cristina takes them home, cleanses and feeds them. Once they reach 2 pounds, it takes them to the vet where they are examined and vaccinated. I remember this day well. Valeria had called sadly when she discovered that Savannah had tested positive for IVF. It is an exclusive disease for felines, similar to AIDS.
Looking no better than the day Valeria found her, Savannah had stopped eating and started losing a lot of weight. One could see the bones through his thin skin. Finally he stopped walking and eating altogether. Many would consider this a losing battle. She spent entire nights carrying Savannah, simply trying to make her feel better. All the time, Cristina herself got worse. She cried, worried about Savannah. The idea that Savannah lost her life ripped apart my friend.
Many in the world see IVF a death sentence. Kittens with IVF are not expected to survive and those who do usually need special care. Because IVF is easy to spread when kittens play, Savannah had to be kept separate from the other kittens. Valeria was the only friend she had come to know.
Valeria, although sad and hurt, never gave up. He had risen early one morning and began searching for information on the Internet. After searching a little, I find there was some hope for Savannah. With some special medicine and care, he discovered that Savannah could have an opportunity to improve and live a healthy life, made many calls trying to get the medicine, no matter the cost. Finally, he was able to find a shelter that ordered the medicine at no cost. He started giving it to Savannah and introducing fluids with a hypodermic.
In a short time, Savannah began to gain some weight and walk again. It wasn't long before he got up and played. One night Valeria brought Savannah to play. I will never forget the look in Valeria's eyes, and the feeling of playing with a kitten that many had given up for dead. This was a really moving experience.
Savannah has just been examined again. This time the test was negative for IVF. In many cases, mothers can pass their kittens this disease and, in some cases, kittens can get rid of time. Savannah was now a playful and healthy kitten, with a life to enjoy that she might never have known.
There is no doubt in my mind that Savannah will have a better life because of Valeria. I also know that she herself will have a longer life because of Savannah. I have read many inspirational stories but this one, the one I just told you, will stay with me forever. It reminds me that love and compassion make a difference, and never give up when we believe in someone or something.
Today Savannah will be going to the vet for her routine exams tomorrow morning. In a week or two it will be ready for adoption, we wait for a family that can impact with love and compassion.
When we lose compassion we stop looking like God, because God is compassionate to his people every morning.
Romans 9:15
Because He says to Moses: I WILL HAVE MERCY OF WHICH I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION OF WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION.
Exodus 33: 9
And the Lord answered him: I will give you proof of my goodness, and I will make my name known to you. And you will see that I have clemency of who I want to have it, and I am compassionate with who I want to be.
@jorgelis God is compassion from ancient times, God does not change that is why his love is eternal and also commands that we be compassionate with all his creation.
Thanks for sharing.
