THE CAGE OF THE LAMENT

Greetings to all friends and brothers in Christ.

When we are trapped in regret, we resemble a bird locked in a cage. The past catches us in the bad actions and mistakes we made and we keep remembering all those negative scenes that hit our emotions and fill us with frustrations.

Many people live lamenting their past, since in their present they live the consequences of past mistakes. All this produces remorse in the conscience and, in addition to living in repentance, everything becomes complaints.

The lament and the complaint of the present prevent you from enjoying the beautiful life that Christ has given you. It is necessary to resort to the words of the apostle Paul and make the decision to forget everything that was left behind, and begin a true career of peace and love towards what is to come. Paul expressed it as follows:

Brothers, I don't pretend to have reached it myself; but one thing I do: certainly forgetting what is left behind, and extending to what lies ahead, I continue toward the goal, to the prize of the supreme call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3: 13-14).

Regretting the past and getting caught in it means that you are stealing the right to enjoy the new life, which you now have in Christ.
It is necessary to know what causes your lament and how to overcome and avoid it, so that you can continue your journey of enjoying the new life in Christ Jesus.

Many people get caught in the past. There is only one thing that can be done with the past, and it is to forget it.
When we make mistakes, as we all do, all we can do is ask God for forgiveness and move on. Like Paul, we insist on following perfection, but none of us has achieved it.
I think Paul enjoyed his life and ministry. And that "unique aspiration" I had was part of the reason. Like us, he insisted on seeking perfection, confessing that he had not yet reached it; but he knew how to enjoy his life while giving himself completely to the preaching of the Gospel.

That is a wonderful lesson that we must learn from the apostle Paul. If you really want to enjoy your present and successfully launch into your future, you must learn to free yourself from your past, in other words, "forget all that is left behind" and get out of that lament cage that prevents you from enjoying yourself in Christ

In "summary accounts," you must free yourself from the past to understand the future. Until you do that, you will not enjoy the new life that Jesus Christ has given you.
Always remember that crying robs us now!
God has called us to walk by faith. Faith operates in the now, in the present.

Leave your past and future in the hands of God; and now live your present, without regret and fear.

Finally, I want to alert you, that you will find many areas of your life in which Satan tries to cause regrets, which is something that steals the joy of salvation. Do not allow more than using lament to steal the enjoyment of life in Christ. I repeat, get out of the wailing cage!
