Thanksgiving and praise are the formula of well-being. A heart that does not complain and appreciates a lot will overflow with joy, whereas the one who complains a lot and does not appreciate anything will be filled with bitterness. The believer must be enough reason for joy that he has peace with GOD, perhaps in his environment there will be countless situations that overwhelm him, but who will take away the eternal life he has received? No one.

It is very easy to thank when things go as we want, but only the understanding hearts thank GOD at all times. Regardless of what situation a person is in, they will always have reasons to thank GOD. The gratitude about GOD, the complaint and discontent away from Him.

The LORD speaks repeatedly in the Scriptures that victory is found in praise and thanksgiving to Him. David commanded his soul to praise GOD for all the benefits received no matter what he was experiencing (Psalm 103: 1-6), the psalmist said in Psalm 149: 1-4 that we should sing to the LORD a new song, that we should rejoice in Him with dance and tambourines because that gives him delight; and in doing so He promises to crown us with victory.

When a believer fails to thank and praise GOD, he is putting above him his problems, sins, debts or whatever afflicts him. Unconsciously he is making a statement where he says that GOD does not have enough power or willingness to free him from what oppresses him. On the contrary, when the believer makes the commitment to thank and praise GOD despite the circumstances, the problems take their fair and insignificant size before GOD. It is not God's will that his people live oppressed or sad, on the contrary He sent His Son to free us and live joyfully (Isaiah 61, Luke 4:18). Do not listen to the lies of the enemy trying to convince you that GOD wants to have you oppressed, if you have believed that, ask for forgiveness to GOD and He will give you the victory.

List the blessings in your life and thank GOD for it. Praise Him for all the good He has already done for you and in doing so He will give you the victory.
