I bless you in the name of Jesus.

Every believer who decides to have a personal encounter with God and develop a strong intimacy with Him, will discover the great wonders that God can do with his life.

The power of spiritual intimacy with God is more revolutionary than chemical warfare or atomic bombs. While the latter can annihilate nations and kill millions of people at once, it cannot heal or correct broken lives.

When God draws someone to his mountain of change, he gives an imperfect person a bright future by transforming his self-esteem and his general perspective on life.

The invitation he extends to travel to his mountain reveals his love, his desire for a deep friendship and his longing for a person's commitment to trust in Him while performing a profound work of grace in his life.

Throughout the Bible, we see how God used imperfect and broken people who later shaped their societies because of the important relationships they formed with Him.

Do you remember Moses? I had speech problems. Do you remember Elijah the prophet? He was suicidal. What about Rahab? She emerged from a prostitution lifestyle to serve the living God.

How about Samson? He was codependent. I simply loved women too much. Do you remember Gideon? He was a coward before approaching God.

Do you remember Jonah's problem? He was a prophet of self-righteousness who hated to see God forgive guilty people.

When you turn to the New Testament, the characters change, but there is the same break in the lives of the people represented there.

God continued to show his amazing grace by attracting them to a passionate relationship with himself. Pedro was bite. Thomas hesitated. John and James, the two brothers, were called the "sons of thunder" (Mark 3:17) because of their desire to see the fire burn the stubborn.

The list continues. What about Pablo? Do you remember this Pharisee Pharisee who thought he was the sheriff in the kingdom of God? It was he who traveled from city to city, imprisoning Christians. This continued until he met the Savior on the road to the city of Damascus. Do you remember Marta? She was worried.

I can continue to name powerful biblical heroes who began as people with many problems. These little minded people would doubt when asked: "Can God do something powerful with you?"

Wherever you are in the process of approaching God, I want you to be encouraged. God can make you a radical and totally devoted follower of Christ. You can become a passionate Christian that changes society. The answer is to travel to the mountain of God and have a strong intimacy with Him.
