STEEMCHURCH: ADORATION TO THE KING OF KINGS

It is an effusive manifestation of love for God The word "worship" means "to show respect and honor to a person of value". The Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy defines the verb "to adore" in the following way: "Reverence with supreme honor or respect a being, considering it as a divine thing"

Normally, people want to worship their Creator. Every person in their right mind answers joyfully to the council that says: "I was glad with those who said to me: We will go to the house of the Lord" (Psalm 122.1).

It is not true that human beings inherit their desire and ability to worship, from ancestors who "evolve" from inferior animals; the animals can not worship. However, in this aspect the Scriptures compare mankind with animals:

As the deer bellows for the currents of the waters, So my soul cries for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When will I come, and will I appear before God? (Psalms 42.1-2).

The physical thirst of the deer causes him to seek water, and the spiritual thirst of man leads him to draw a description THE WORSHIP, THE TRUE WORSHIP

with joy «waters of the sources of salvation»
(Isaiah 12.3)

Another similarity between men and animals manifests itself in Psalm 84.3: Even the sparrow finds a house,
And the swallow will nest for itself, where it will lay its young, near your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. In this Psalm, the worshiper, who was far from the temple, said that he was jealous of the birds that lived in it, and that he would have liked to live there as well: My soul yearns and even ardently desires the courts of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing to the living God (Psalm 84.2).

Blessed are those who dwell in your house; Perpetually they will praise you (Psalm 84.4)

To praise God is, therefore, to worship. It consists in the extraversion of the human spirit towards the Divine Spirit. It is to worship Him who created and preserves the worshiper. It is gratitude. It is a way of telling God: "My person belongs to you, and I love you."

The Christian waits anxiously for the next time the saints gather, just as the Jew of David's day rejoiced when they told him to go to the temple (Psalm 122.1). The Christian is saddened to be forced to miss the service (Psalm 84.2).

Worship is the reaction of the man whose mind is filled with the glories of creation, and exclaims: "Only God can make a Universe like this!". The essence of worship is intangible and invisible. It is a feeling, an emotion, a thought of reverence and gratitude in the heart of the one who sings to God: "How great you are!"
