Is it a sin to doubt God's promises a bit?

Then said he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

The above scripture illustrates the act of Thomas who being one of 12 disciples dare to doubt what the other disciples said about the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. As a rational being, I will neither have no case against his unbelieving nor would I blame him for asking for a sign/prove because the dude was not with them when Jesus appeared after resurrection to the disciples.

Sequel to this, when others told Thomas, he said to them that unless he sees Jesus' hand & put his finger in the scar/ print of the nails and also put his hands into Jesus' side, he will not believe. What a request you may say but please do blame him, cause he did nothing to see things for himself so that he would be bold to tell others about what he saw.

Note that 8 days after Christ had resurrected, his disciples whom some had loss faith and others greatly afraid were again gathered inside for fear of being persecuted, they stayed indoors and the door was shut. Thomas was with them when Jesus came in, stood amidst them & said 'peace be unto you'. Then He said to Thomas, "reach ur finger ......." (John 20:27). After all done & verified, that's when Thomas accepted Jesus that truly is his Lord (John 20:24-28).

Something remarkable about this story is not that Christ could walk in through a closed door & suddenly materialize in disciples' presence. Though, that's impressive but what is even more impressive is that Christ could still show up to talk with a doubter! The fact remains that Jesus was not in the room 8 days earlier when Thomas expressed his doubts to other disciples but "Lord knows the thought of man"

Believe you me, many off the present day Christians would have looked at Thomas and thought he is worthless and faithless, and thus should be written off, that he's even not qualify to be a disciple but Jesus did not think in such a way. Jesus recognized an honest heart & a seeking soul in Thomas & He showed up to answer his questions. So I'm telling you also today that your doubts don't disqualify you! You only need to take them to the Lord in prayer & by the time Lord is done with you, you'll be saying 'my Lord & my God' just as Thomas did in John 20:28 after he truly believed. I pray God will surprise you in a big form, then your doubts will cease.
