Decision Making
Genesis 13:8 So Abram said to Lot, "Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdmen and your herdsmen; for we are brothers.
Day in day out we make decision that affect our lives, decision making is a crucial thing to every human being as it determines where your life is headed. There are decisions which has short term effects and may not necessarily affect you that much in life and then there are decisions that are capable of having far reaching effects on you and everything around you, sometimes even eternity included. For instance deciding to give you life to Christ and become a Christian is a type of decision that you affect you life even into death. So how do we know we are making the right decision or better still how do we make the right decision. Because of the consequences that comes with decision making lots of people have difficulties making decisions and in the end the end up being stagnant at one point.
Abraham was faced with a decision of having to separate himself from Lot for good of his people and that of Lots, an important decision that would either bring about a rift between the two brethren or strengthen the bond and bring peace to all. Abraham should great magnanimity, courage and wisdom in doing so and this did not just come from him but from God. God is the Alpha and Omega, knowing the beginning from the end, he knows where that decision would lead you to. So before you make a decision concerning you life, seek him first, seek his opinion, seek his consent and you will always make the right decision.
Decision making is one of the critical position where Christians must seek the direction of God. We need to make a good choice towards our salvation .
