The Calmness of God

Psalm 46:10; "Be still, and know that i am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth"

Man is a being in the image of God which means we have some of the wonderful qualities that God possess and in the same vain the great power, knowledge and consciousness given to us has given us the option to choose the path we prefer and to act the way we want to. In the presence of danger, fear, turmoil etc man is known to exhibit panic and never calmness. When faced with things we do not understand, when faced with uncertainties, when things do not seem to be going our way or according to our plans we tend to be so worried we tend to loss focus. And this is because we do not know what the future holds for us and doesn't powerful enough to withstand.

But God is all powerful and all knowledgeable, he is the alpha and omega, which is why he is calm and is not bothered by the plans, events and implementations of the devil. In the same vain when we connect ourselves to this higher power to give us a higher sense of purpose that is how we will feel in the face of fear and turmoil. We will be in the calmness and stillness of God. A good Christian who has surrendered his or her will fully to God and lives in the light of his word is not moved nor bothered by these turmoils and panics etc. Thus today the admonition is to surrender your will to God and live in his light and calmness knowing fully that the wings of God covers you from the claws of the devil, you will not be perturbed by the doings of the enemy. Have a great week even as you abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
