Pray Without Ceasing

Prayer is so important that we cannot do without, it is the necessity for survival. Prayer is like the air we breathe, we will always go through a spiritual suffocation if we go through a day without prayer.

Many believers take prayer for granted, something that serves as their only link to God. They will consider their breakfast as something more important than their daily prayers.

When Jesus taught about prayer he said we must pray without ceasing :

He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up, saying, “There was a judge in a certain city who did not fear God, and did not respect people. A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.He would not for a while, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God, nor respect people yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her justice, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming. The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says. Won’t God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them? I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:1-8

We are commanded here to pray at all times. That is, we must not neglect regular stated seasons of prayer; we must seize praying in times of afflcitions or trials. Prayer should be our lifestyle and just a pracitice.

We are to pray whether we are happy or sad, sick or healthy. Nothing should deter us or discourage us from connecting to our source of power.

we must not grow weary though our prayer seems not to be answered.It doesn't matter how long it takes for our supplications to God be granted we mist stick to prayer.

Jesus never gave up praying. He prayed when he was in anguish and prayed when he was on the cross. That should be the attitude of evry believer or follower of Christ.

The attitude of the judge was enough reason to put off the widow who was pestering him but it rather moved him to act on her behalf.

Though God may bear long with us but will surely avenge those who call on him continuously. This is one of the secrets to an answered prayers. A never giving up spirit in prayer always brings answers.
